Membership of the orchestra is open to players of approximately Grade 5 standard and above. There are no auditions, but members must commit to attending rehearsals and doing personal practice. Please note there is a waiting list for some sections.
The orchestra year is split into two sessions and the current membership fees are £50 per session for adults and £40 per annum for students.
We always need string players – violin, viola, cello and double bass. We are also currently looking for players of the following instruments:
- French Horn
- Bass trombone
