We are always keen to welcome new members to the orchestra! You should be of Grade 5 standard, or equivalent, and able to commit to attending rehearsals. We generally have vacancies for strings, lower brass and percussion. If you are interested, please contact us for an update.
We don’t ask for a formal audition. Instead, if we have a vacancy we’ll suggest you come for a trial period. If we don’t currently have a potential place for you we will be happy to hold your details on file if you wish. We’re happy to welcome minors joining the orchestra but request that the applicant lets us know if they are under 18 when they apply.
The orchestra year is split into two sessions and the current membership fees are £60 per session for adults and £40 per annum for students.
